It hasnt been a year, only7 months since i posted so here is a quick post to say paiges bday our summer, our trip to st. george and this weekends trip to cabin will be forthcoming in the near future. wooo hooo!!!

Yesterday, March 8, was Masons 13th birthday. I can't believe my baby boy is a teenager! Yikes! He is such a great kid and I am so proud of him. Friday night he had a bunch of friends over for "hanging out, playing video games, playing pool and eating a LOT! They seemed to have fun it was sure LOUD!!!

Dirt biking cake. For his birthday we had Travis put a pipe on masons motorcyle and we went to the desert to ride last week I have been a bad blogger and will post those pictures later.

Ryan took him snowmobiling yesterday and they had a great time it was beautiful!

Please stay my sweet boy and don't grow up too fast I love you so much!!! We measured Mason to put the height mark in the laundry room and he only has 2 inches untill he is as tall as his mother!

Today is our 17 year anniversary so I thought I would post 17 things about Ryan that I love. It was actually hard to narrow it down to only 17. I am so happy that I married you and I would do it all again in a heartbeat. xoxoxox

Most people know that when you read an Oprah book selection you are taking a gamble. Her books are either really good like The Pillars of the Earth, or they make you mad that you wasted your money buying them and then wasted your time reading them. I just finished reading The Tale of Edgar Sawtelle and am so disappointed it was the dumbest book ever! I kept forcing my self to keep reading even when I was bored to tears thinking it was going to get better. It ended so bad I had to re-read the last few pages to be sure it was really that bad. Don't waste your time on this one!

After Christmas I took the kids to visit my sister in Wyoming. They had just got two kittens for Christmas one siamese and one ragdoll. Even if you don't like cats there is nothing cuter than these kittens. Paiges allergies were going crazy the whole time but she did not care. Jamie and her family are always so welcoming and we had a blast swimming in their giant hot tub/lap pool. Playing games with cousins and playing in the snow.
Jessica and Kristen were home from BYU for the holidays which was fun they are such great girls. Paige and Heather are just the best of friends and Usually disappear into their own world when they are together, they just always have so much fun together.

Christmas day we got a huge snow storm. We had 4 to 5 foot snow drifts! We spent hours shoveling because it was too much for our snowblower, even after Ryans friend came and cleared most of the snow with snowplow truck.

We had a great Christmas and I will try and get more pictures posted of christmas partys.

I have failed to mention in my blog 2 "members of the family". After years of longing for fuzzy little pets, I finally gave in and let the kids buy two hamsters with their own money. They are super soft and cute and actually good pets. We do have to keep them in the basement because they run on their wheel all night and would keep us awake.

Paige is the ultimate animal lover. she watches all the animal shows and reads animal books and constantly talks about being a vet. Lately she has been asking me every day how old she would have to be to volunteer at the vet or the animal shelter.

Yesterday was my birthday and My wonderful Parents came over to visit and take me out to lunch! I am so grateful for the unconditional love that they have shown me my whole life and I am so glad that I have them. They are my best friends and are always, always there for me. (My DAD built my beautiful fireplace in the background of this Picture,Including the brick work and woodwork on mantle he is so talented!)
I wish I could scan the birthday card Paige made me it is so cute. Inside it says "Almost up the hill, not too old to count." and she drew a hill with a road going up and an X half way up. She is so creative. I am NOT over the Hill yet !!! 38 is not even to the top of the hill!!!

CAT in my house!

I have to post the funny thing that happened this morning, I can't stop laughing about it. Paige and I just got home from her early morning piano lesson when we heard this loud wining sound coming from my bedroom. I knew Ryan didn't make that sound and not the dog either. I looked at Paige and said what was that? was it the TV?
Just as I start walking in the bedroom to ask Ryan what it was, a giant tabby cat walks out of my bedroom!! WHAT THE HECK? Paige and I let the cat outside and start looking for the dog. She is not in the house I start to worry that the garage door was open and she ran away as the cat came in. I found Ryan just out of the shower and I said, did you know there was a cat in the bedroom? He said oh that must be why Paris was freaking out!
He said he was in the bedroom and heard Paris running around and barking like crazy so he put her in backyard to go potty. The door to garage was open (cause if we don't close it tight it opens and we were in a hurry this morning) so the cat must have come in and Paris freaked out and chased it. So then we let Paris back in and she ran around like crazy looking for the cat. It was so funny! I am very glad it was just a cat and not a skunk!! I hope the cat found its home it was a beautiful cat.

Mason, just like Ryan ,must be genetic!

I can't even believe how fast Mason is growing up. He and two of his friends spent all day riding their motorcycles in the hills by our house. He new iIwas nervous so he would stop and call me every little while so I knew he was alive and not injured. Twelve year olds enjoying their independence!

Most people don't know that I have a weird thing about Mr. Potato Head. I have quite a collection of them. I just think that they are so cute when they are dressed as movie characters. I've got Spiderman Potato, Darth Vader, r2d2, Storm Trooper, Indiana Jones, and Transformaer potato head. So of course I could not resist these Potato Head Pumpkin Pirate and Witch Pieces. This is really my kind of pumpkin decorating. But still, we will be doing REAL Pumpkin carving tonight. Ryan is actually very artistic when it comes to pumpkins so if he is in a creative mood I will have good pictures to post tomorrow.

So Ryan and I went to Vegas with some friends, and the kids stayed with grandma and grandpa and went to aunt Jamies house to play with cousins. The Kids went to Jennys Lake My favorite place and then they rode 4-wheelers to the top of Black Mountain.
